Creative Endeavors: Macrame

May 10th 1-4 pm ::: $45 + $10 Material Cost

This 3-hour interactive workshop is designed for the beginning macramé artist and is suitable for ages 12 and older.  Through demonstration and hands-on practice, participants will learn basic macramé knots while creating either a plant hanger or artistic wall hanging, which will be theirs to keep or to gift to someone.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • utilize 4 basic macramé knots to design and create your own macramé design
  • identify the best materials to use based on intended use of your creations
  • know where to buy your own materials

INSTRUCTOR


Kira Dunlap started the online store and workshop provider Macrame Club while living in Chicago. She recently relocated to California to pursue studies in Ayurveda; in the past she has been a massage therapist, vegan gelato producer, and manager of an all organic grocery store. Her hobbies include laying in a hammock on a sunny day, gardening, cooking, and eating pizza.
