Brad is the acting interim director at the Solar Living Institute. Prior to his experience at EcoTerra, he has worked as Produce Manager at the Davis Food Co-op, owned and operated Green Horn – a musical instrument recycling service for educational programs, and has toured internationally as a musician with too many groups to list. While these areas of work differ from each other greatly, they all center around community and teamwork.
Originally from Detroit, he currently lives in a very small off-grid cabin in the woods of Mendocino as a newfound minimalist. In his free time he enjoys hiking with his cat Randy, gardening, painting, VJing, and playing music. He plans to build his own off-grid kingdom with his fiancee, Kira, an aspiring Ayervedic Specialist.
Shaylene Marino is our Interim Programs Director. She works closely with Brad Elliott, our Executive Director, to supervise our various programs at the SLI including children’s tours and site events taking place at EcoTerra (formerly the Solar Living Center).
Landa Roon is the Solar Living Institute’s Operations Manager and as such she oversees much of the day-to-day activities of the SLI, including deposits, donations and development fulfillment.
Landa has worked for Real Goods since 2013 and has recently stepped in to assist in management of the SLI. Landa is a true 7th generation Lake County dweller and lives on a permaculture farm over the hill near Upper Lake.
Caitlin Riehl is the Site Manager and Director of Accommodations at EcoTerra Center. Caitlin also helps with managing weddings and events at EcoTerra as well as general development and upkeep of the site.
Caitlin holds a degree in business management and accounting. She has managed several businesses on the Mendocino coast and inland for more than 20 years, and has taught introductory bookkeeping. She is excited to now be involved with the Solar Living Institute at EcoTerra Center!
