PV 101 - Intro to Photovoltaics January 14 - 15, 2010 __________________________________________________________________ PV 102 - Wire Your Own PV System This is the hands-on sequel to PV 101 PV 200 - PV Design and Installation Intensive Choose this career-track course if you're interested in becoming a solar installer or want more in-depth PV training. This course is accredited by the Institute for Sustainable Power Quality (ISPQ) and is certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). Upon completion of this course you can choose to sit for the entry level NABCEP certification exam. __________________________________________________________________ NABCEP Entry Level Test The Solar Living Institute is an approved provider for the NABCEP Entry Level Exam. Students who have completed a PV 200 Design & Installation Intensive workshop from the Solar Living Institute after April 16, 2009 are eligible to register and sit for the test. By passing the NABCEP Entry Level Exam you will obtain an Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge from NABCEP, which indicates proficiency in basic terminology and concepts of PV systems. January 22, 2010 March 19, 2010 _________________________________________________________________ PV 300 - Advanced Photovoltaics This course is primarily geared towards those who currently work in the solar industry. It ISPQ accredited and NABCEP certified. The workshop is the companion to PV 200 providing more advanced material. February 15 - 19, 2010 __________________________________________________________________ Intro to Off-Grid Systems This two-day workshop provides an introduction to off-grid solar, wind and hydroelectric systems, which—individually or in tandem—allow homeowners to generate electricity without dependence on the utility grid. To be announced __________________________________________________________________ Off-Grid Systems for Professionals This two-day advanced class in off-grid PV covers the complex world of hybrid power systems, which integrate multiple energy sources (PV, wind power, small hydro, and generators) to satisfy the electrical demand of off-grid sites. This workshop is intended for advanced owners/builders and others with PV and electrical backgrounds who are interested in off-grid applications, or for beginners who have taken PV 190.
